Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita has issued a warning to residents about consumer products that were recalled in January. The announcement urges consumers to take steps such as returning, fixing, disposing of, or replacing any recalled items that could pose a risk.
“Hoosiers shouldn’t have to worry about faulty or dangerous items in their own homes,” Attorney General Rokita said. “Indiana residents deserve protection from products that, for whatever reason, are not reliable or may even cause injury. If you have one of the recalled products, stop using it and pursue resolution from the manufacturer.”
The statement notes that the Consumer Product Safety Commission reported several product recalls during January. Residents who think they may have purchased a recalled item are advised to stop using it immediately and consult the recall notice for instructions on how to proceed.
Consumers can find information about previous recalls by visiting the Consumer Protection Safety Commission website at https://www.cpsc.gov/Recalls.
