The U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana announced on April 17 that the 18th Annual Court History & Continuing Legal Education Symposium will be held on May 13 in Indianapolis. The event is scheduled from 12:30 PM to 3:45 PM at the Sarah Evans Barker Courtroom, located in the Birch Bayh Federal Building & U.S. Courthouse.

The symposium aims to provide both educational and engaging content for attendees, featuring topics such as a review of the trial following the so-called “Crime of the Century” and an examination of what distinguishes outstanding lawyers.

Organized by the Historical Society of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana and sponsored by the court, this program offers three hours of approved Indiana Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credit. Registration is required for all participants.

A Zoom link will be available for those unable to attend in person, allowing broader access to legal professionals and others interested in court history or professional development opportunities.

Further details about registration and program specifics can be found in the official press release.
