Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita, along with 51 other Attorneys General from the Anti-Robocall Multistate Litigation Task Force, has issued warnings to nine voice service providers suspected of facilitating unlawful robocalls. The letters inform these companies that they may be in violation of state and federal laws for routing suspicious or illegal robocalls through their networks.

“Hoosiers are fed up with these relentless robocalls that disrupt their lives and, worse, try to steal their hard-earned money or personal information,” said Attorney General Rokita. “Our office is staying on the offensive, using every tool at our disposal to shut down these scammers and protect Indiana families. If the telecom industry won’t clean up its act, we will.”

The targeted companies include Global Net Holdings, All Access Telecom, Lingo Telecom, NGL Communications, Range, RSCom Ltd., Telcast Network, ThinQ Technologies (Commio), and Telcentris (Voxox). Each company received multiple traceback notices regarding various types of scam calls such as government impersonations, Amazon charge scams, credit card interest rate reductions, Medicare frauds, student loan schemes, and utility disconnect threats.

These warnings are part of ongoing efforts by Rokita’s office to combat illegal robocall traffic. Since 2021, the Indiana Attorney General’s Data Privacy and Identity Theft team has taken legal action against companies accused of enabling robocall operations. This includes a lawsuit against Startel Communication LLC—an operation accused of allowing overseas robocallers access to Indiana phone lines—and actions leading to the shutdown of Associated Community Services (ACS), which was found to have defrauded millions from consumers nationwide under false charity pretenses.

The task force also shared its concerns about these providers with federal agencies including the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). Collaboration continues with federal partners such as the Federal Trade Commission and FCC to trace and eliminate illegal call networks.

Attorney General Rokita’s leadership in this bipartisan task force is positioning Indiana at the forefront of national anti-robocall initiatives.
