Federal authorities have charged 21 individuals from Indianapolis to Phoenix, Arizona, for their alleged involvement in a drug trafficking organization based in Indianapolis. The operation was led by Eric Robinson, according to John E. Childress, Acting United States Attorney.

On June 13, 2025, a coordinated effort involving 19 federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies executed search and arrest warrants at 21 locations across Indianapolis and Phoenix. This resulted in the arrest of 19 individuals. Law enforcement officers seized approximately 56 firearms, $12,000 in cash, and significant quantities of various drugs including methamphetamine, cocaine, fentanyl, heroin, crack cocaine, and hallucinogenic mushrooms.

The following individuals were arrested and charged with conspiracy to distribute controlled substances: Eric L. Robinson (55), Jonhy Chacon-Hernandez (28), Genaro Tapia (25), Monte D. Scruggs (44), Joshua P. Sheehy (32), Heather A. Hill (40), Richard N. Irwin II (39), William Cox (54), Michael P Brandenburg (35), Eliud Chavez-Delgado (45), Theodore Sweat (67), Andrea Clayton (36), Jeremiha Dailey (46), Aaron Mooney (37), Hirohito Causeway (61), Michael Graham (61), Lawrence Davis (50), Timothy Barnes (51) and Cory J. Alcorn (45).

The indictment alleges that Robinson led the organization which distributed methamphetamine, cocaine, fentanyl, heroin, and Xanax sourced from Texas and Arizona as well as alternative suppliers in Indianapolis.

The investigation involved multiple agencies including the Drug Enforcement Administration; Internal Revenue Service; Indianapolis Metropolitan Drug Task Force; Hamilton Boone Drug Task Force; Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives; Department of Homeland Security; U.S. Marshal Service; Indiana State Police; Beech Grove Police; Lawrence Police; Brownsburg Police; Fishers Police; Carmel Police; Greenfield Police; Plainfield Police; Whitestown Police; Zionsville Police and Morgan County Sheriff’s Office.

Acting U.S. Attorney Childress expressed gratitude towards Assistant U.S. Attorneys Bradley A. Blackington and Matt Barloh for prosecuting the case.

This operation is part of Operation Take Back America which combines efforts from the Department’s Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces and Project Safe Neighborhoods under the Indiana High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas program.

Authorities remind that an indictment or criminal complaint are merely allegations and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in court.
