Keisand Santiago-Maldonado, a 33-year-old resident of Milton, Pennsylvania, was convicted on December 10, 2025, for possession with intent to distribute more than 500 grams of a mixture and substance containing cocaine. The verdict followed a two-day jury trial in South Bend before United States District Court Judge Damon R. Leichty. The announcement was made by Acting United States Attorney M. Scott Proctor.
Sentencing for Santiago-Maldonado is set for March 25, 2026.
The investigation was conducted by the Drug Enforcement Administration, with support from the LaPorte County Sheriff’s Department and the Indiana State Police Laboratory Division. The prosecution team included Assistant United States Attorneys Lydia T. Lucius and Hannah T Jones, as well as Acting Criminal Division Chief Joseph P. Falvey.
