U.S. District Court for Northern Indiana closes offices due to severe cold weather

All offices of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Indiana will be closed to the public on Friday, January 23, 2026, because of extremely cold travel conditions. According to an official statement, “Due to dangerously cold travel conditions, all offices for the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Indiana will be closed to the public on Friday, January 23, 2026. The public will be assisted by remote means and electronic filing remains available.”

During this closure, court services will continue remotely and electronic filing systems will remain accessible.
